La expectativa (The expectation) 2009

In this work, we can see spectators without seeing or knowing what they are watching. This changes the dynamic with the expectation of the viewer, as we could be expecting to watch something else rather than what the spectators are watching. This piece discusses the role of the viewer as well as the audiovisual image’s purpose as entertainment. We are not watching a visual image, but rather, we watch spectators and a paradox which is created between them and communication.
