ONE METER (or which are the advantages of living and working in your teenage bedroom) UN METRO (o cuales son las ventajas de vivir y trabajar en tu habitación de la adolescencia) Self-portrait on my artist studio. 2015 These are two portrait photos I did in early 2015 in response to the question people asked about my artist studio. When I returned from Germany in 2013, I had to settle in my parents' house because of economic reasons. So I had to live and work there because I could not find a way to pay a rent and continue producing my work. So I decided to continue working accepting these conditions. A meter was the distance between my bed and desk, my workplace. I draw that distance with my own flexibility, representing the artist´s flexibility to survive and continue working in any environment. |
